This is the conclusion of a musician by the name of Frank Wilhoit (not the sociologist). However, within this context he proposes, there is no such thing as liberalism or progressivism, there is only conservatism.
It is based on a single proposition:
"There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect."
I find it an interesting observation.
Many who speak of "law and order" aren't so interested in justice.
